On February 22, 1931, in Poland, Sister Faustina Kowalska, while in her cell, received a vision of Christ. She reported that she saw the Lord clothed in a bright white robe and that He asked her to paint an image of what she saw, with the words, “Jesus I trust in You.” To anyone who worshipped such an image, the Lord promised not to let his soul perish. Since then the devotion has spread throughout the world, becoming a liturgical solemnity in 2000 on the Sunday after Easter, at the behest of John Paul II.
Prima Bottega pays tribute to that devotion with a hood from the Affresco line dedicated to the original image painted under Sister Faustina’s supervision. Here in a natural-shouldered shade version with a matte finish.
